Update on HOA dues

Earlier this year each homeowner in our HOA had the opportunity to vote relative to an increase in our yearly dues. We announced the results at our HOA meeting in May. The proposed $50 increase passed with the requisite percentage of votes. This would be retroactive to the first of this year making the yearly dues $150. This would create a balance of $50 owed by each homeowner. Over the past few months we have seen our participation in the HOA increase significantly. We feel we have received helpful feedback concerning many issues and opportunities we have in our neighborhood. We thank each of you for that and welcome continued participation.
We are now asking that each homeowner take the time to remit the payment of $50 immediately. Please make sure that all payments be made by the end of September. Those who still have outstanding balances from previous years those payments will need to be made as well. Our block captains will be going around the neighborhood to collect all outstanding balances after September 30, 2015. It was determined that the initial amount of $100 was not sufficient to cover all of our expenses. The HOA board is making all efforts to minimize those expenses. We are continuously looking at ways to reduce costs and also making our HOA benefit each homeowner within our neighborhood.
We sincerely thank you in advance for your timely payments. Should you have any questions or comments please feel free to respond to this email or call anyone of us now serving on the board.
