Police Department Training Exercises

The Provo Police Department will be performing training exercises with their SWAT team and K9 units over the next few weeks at the barn structure on the east side of Seven Peaks.
So, if you see police activity in that area, know that it is a training procedure and not related to any suspicious activity.
If you have any questions, you may direct them to Richard.

Pass of All Passes Deal

Gary Brinton, the owner of Seven Peaks, is still thinking about what type of discount to offer to Foothill Park neighbors.  One of the things he is concerned about is that since he is not in total control of the pricing around the Pass of All Passes, offering $10 off a Pass of All Passes like last year cannot guarantee the "best" deal.  He did want to make the neighborhood aware of a promotion that is currently occurring through Corporate Alliance via City Deals.  The price through this link is $19.95 for a Pass of All Passes; he thinks it expires Monday (9/3) or Tuesday (9/4).  While Gary cannot guarantee this will be the lowest price, it is the lowest price that he is currently aware that the group is planning to offer for the next several months.  Here is the link (you have to use this link - going straight through City Deals will give you a different price):

Annual Meeting Summary

For those of you who were not able to attend the annual HOA meeting this weekend, here is a summary of what was discussed:

We have received enough votes opposing the proposed changes to the commonly owned properties to call the matter settled. We will not be passing on the land to adjacent homeowners. We are in the process of collecting bids for putting in a sidewalk through the easement between the 320 North culdesac and 1420 East. When we have a final cost projection on the sidewalk, we will know what other improvements we will be able to have finished this season.

Future plans for commonly owned property include improvements to the retention basin. We would like to re-treat the lawn in that area so that it is more useable and attractive. We would also like to put in a path around the perimeter for jogging etc. and possibly some soccer goals or some other play equipment, depending on what is feasible and compatible with the need to have the land function as a retention basin as necessary.

The City of Provo has a neighborhood grant to use toward improvements in different neighborhoods around the city. We will apply for the grant this year. They will match funds up to $5000.00 and/or volunteer hours to be used in approved projects. This will go far toward any improvements we would like to make to our common properties. We can also apply more than once and receive the grant more than once.

The path in the north end of the neighborhood we will put on hold until the new Ivory Homes development is underway. They have an extension of our path into their neighborhood. We would like to cooperate with them in that installation.

The roads in our neighborhood will be ground down and resurfaced, beginning on Tuesday May 8th. Depending on weather, etc. the contractors plan to be finished within two weeks.

We are looking into a neighborhood watch program. Mirna B volunteered to head this up. We will need volunteers from different areas of the neighborhood to be on this committee. If you are interested, you can contact her or one of the HOA board members.

We also discussed the possibility of voting on an updated version of our HOA’s CC&Rs/ By-Laws. Watch for more information about this in the future.

We have set a tentative date for our annual neighborhood block party for the evening of June 9th.
